For over 35 years, Montessori School of Novato has provided an enriching environment for toddler (2 year olds) and preschool-aged children. Using the Montessori approach, we help children develop their inherent joy in learning, a sense of responsibility for their actions, and respect for themselves, others, and their environment. We give children the tools they need to succeed not only in the classroom, but in life.

Help Me To Do It By Myself
"Help me to do it by myself” is a Montessori axiom. The adult prepares the environment and assists in the guidance of the child… but it is the child that works for the development and completion of skills for the creation of the person that (s)he becomes. The Montessori concept of education allows the children to experience the joy of learning at an early age while preserving the spontaneity, initiative and curiosity inherent in every child. This concept promotes the development of independence, concentration and self discipline as well as fostering love and respect for others and their environment. The Montessori experience provides the child with “preparation for life”.
